Natural Disasters

I found an article on Typhoons in Japan.
A typhoon is a low pressure high wind storm, located in the Northwest Pacific. Also known as hurricanes in the atlantic ocean. Typhoon season is usually May through October. In this article thay commented on how catasrophic typhoons can be. In several cases thousands of people have died. When they come they shut down all transportation and buissness. The typhoon controls the whole society. It made me think of how aware and adaptive humans have to be to survive. If we couldn't adapt to weather or disasters on our planet, humans would be long gone. Many times disasters come at a suprise to humans and we need to be able to react quickly, but mostly we need to prepare for the worst.
